Minister for Finance Launches Living City Initiative
May 5, 2015
Today, Ireland’s Minister for Finance has announced the Living City Initiative for the core historic districts in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Kilkenny, and Waterford. EU approval has been a long time coming, and the initiative will now allow the cost of sensitive refurbishment works to buildings in designated areas to be offset against tax liability. The scheme is open to both owner/occupiers and commercial enterprises, and has the ability to transform historic centres and bring rejuvenation to the neglected urban environment. More information can be found at the following link and on your local authority’s website.
